Open City

Like
the golden years of Dutch soccer,
Open City mounts a balletic counterstrike against
most everything conventionally musical about today's music.
In fact, Open City is not even music.
It lacks any form of nostalgia or measure of progress.
It lacks melody.
It doesn't repeat itself.
Event-based
and unsettled ambient set pieces:
dramatic, dense and restless with sound ideas.
Like
an ecstatic acronym (cf AMM, AACM, DAF, Dead C, NASA),
OC is dynamic thought compression in a mobile format
